Seaside Half Marathon, 5k 10k
Race start: Half - 8:00 5/10k - 8:15
Start / Finish will be at Ventura Promenade park along the beautiful Ocean front board walk at Ventura Beach. Then travel along the Ventura bike path to the Historic Old Rincon Highway along the amazing Ventura Coast line. Miles of Ocean views that will keep you in awe as you stroll to the turn around point and back to the start/finish line. Aid stations every 1.5 miles. This event is part of the California Half Marathon series qualifing races.
Weekend worriers / Beginners / walkers:
Yes, very walker friendly course, mostly flat, plenty of aid stations, and loads of fun! Generous 4:00 hour time limit for the half marathon so take your time and enjoy the scenery, all levels of fitness are welcome at our events.
Middle of the pack runners:
Looking for a PR (personal record) early in the year? Then this is the race for you! mostly flat course, gentle ocean breeze and plenty of room to make your move towards your PR
Elite and Advanced runners:
This mostly flat course along the Historic Old Rincon Highway and a great way to test your early season speed. Beautiful ocean views, cool temp, fun people and a great start / finish area to relax after your speedy morning on the road.

To ensure a smooth and consistent run, this race has implemented wave starts.
What is a wave start and how does it work?
Wave starts are designed to reduce race start congestion and improve your race day running experience. In a wave start, runners start in groups at 2 minute intervals. This way you can run with others who are similar in speed. A wave start will allow you plenty of space along the course, at the aid stations and at the finish line, without affecting your chip time or the time you have to complete the race. On race day you will line up under / behind the banner that best fits your estimated running pace per mile, see chart below. Click Here

When, where and what is package pickup? |
| This is where you pickup your race bib #, timing chip, race day t-shirt, and goody bag. You can also review the race course map and ask race day related questions that you might have. Buy some last minute race day goodies that we may have for sale like custom race event logo sweat shirts, bags, etc. This is your last chance to register for this race.... NO RACE DAY REGISTRATION Where do we park? The best place to part is at the Crown Plaza parking structure at 450 E Harbor blvd. Ventura CA 93001. $2 per hour and $8 all day. there is limited free street parking near by. Hint: buy a snack, breakfast, or lunch at the hotel or boardwalk eatery and most of them will validate parking stubs. |
